For my final design i have kept it very simple. I wanted to create a heart shaped hair style that incorporated a modern roll at the back. The heart shape has been inspired by high end designers who have been influenced by the elizabethan era in their catwalks. In most of their designs they have kept the heart shape but created a messier look than what elizabethans in the era would have done. That is what i wanted to create, a softer, messier version of the heart shape. Not so structured but then have a neater roll at the back to contrast that.
To start i want the hair to be put into a middle parting and sectioned off at the top of the head to create the 2 rolls which makes the heart shape. I used backcombing in sections to create the volume and structure to the hair, because i want the look to be messy and loose.
With the remaining hair i want it to be backcombed in sections and then rolled and pinned to the bottom of the neck. This part of it needs to be neat and sleek to contrast with the messier part of the top of the hair.
When i practiced this design the heart shape at the top was too structured compared to what i had imagined it to look like. When practicing it again i want to create the heart shapes with a messy look that has pieces of hair loose.
